He is risen indeed!

"Did He enter through locked door, as if by magic, or was He already there, among them?" I'd never thought about the latter as a possibility. This is something totally new to ponder.

What assurance, to know "He is already there" if I will just recognize Him!

Thanks, Rob.

Thomas-

This is beautiful. It captures so well the moment, the acknowledgment of grief and of what will come. They are hard words to hear "your grief will turn to joy", when we are in it.
Alas, we can be blessed by grief.

Thank you

Amy, your post brought back a story my mother tells about me (I don't really remember it). The first time I heard about the suffering of Christ it made a deep impression on me. I was raised in church, so I would have been pretty young. Anyway, Mother said I sobbed and sobbed. "How could they do that to my Jesus?" I kept saying.

Your words brought a few of those tears back tonight. My question now is, "How could he do that for me?"

I don't think I've read anything more helpful, lately, in describing my state as a believer in a fallen world: "I don't understand, but I believe." This is foolishness to the world, but wisdom in the spirit, and I will carry through the remainder of this season. Thank you, friend.

Well said Anna! I have found that in my lack of understanding, my faith has room to grow. In those times we don't understand, there may be a human tendency to turn away as we try to solve or rationalize. However, if we simply come to Him in our lack of understanding, He teaches us truths that we may not have learned in any other way. Thank you for your honest sharing.

Blessings,
